Guidelines for the chapter
We have approximately a year to write chapters, so plenty of time (June 2024 final draft required).
1. Chapter Context (UN SDG within Private Higher Education UK or International)
2. Length (6000 to 8000 words)
It's envisioned that each chapter will be approximately 6000 - 8000 words in length.
3. Introduction (approx. 500 words)
Each introduction will refer to the key issues addressed in the chapter (including any theoretical concepts or ideas that underpin the chapter). The introduction should refer to the sequence/ order of sections which are to follow.
4. Main body (approx. 6000 - 8000 words)
The main body will include subsections with subtitles (at least three or more) covering the key issues in the chapter. The text should not be too complicated, difficult to read, or overloaded with academic references. As a rough guide, five to ten academic references in every 1,000 words are sufficient for a text of this kind, though it of course, depends on the topic and what is being discussed.
5. Conclusion (approx. 500 words)
This section will summarise the key points of the chapter, including some mention of the case study if included, but it may also direct the reader to future directions or further study.
6. Glossary of Key Concepts (approx. 500 words in total)
The glossary will define approximately ten concepts per chapter (approx. 50 words max per concept).
7. Bibliography (500 words max)
The chapter should have a complete bibliography that lists all the sources used in the chapter. This is user-friendly, and excessive referencing will be avoided.
8. Table of contents
Potential chapters (one chapter per goal- UN SDG), with themed parts within the chapters:
9. Author's Profile: Not more than 500 word with or without a photo
